PGA Testimonial:

This past year while playing in a multi-day tournament I felt my back and left shoulder tighten up so badly that I could not turn my head right or backwards for almost three weeks. This was the second time in two years that muscular inflammation and pain in my back and shoulder had taken me out of a tournament. Even worse was the fact that for over 7 years I have dealt with pain in my feet, calves, left shoulder and more recently my left hip. At 36 years old this was affecting more than my golf game and career, it was affecting everyday living.  I was recommended to see Dr. Tuchsherer in the late fall of 2009 and although reluctant I went in “hopes” of finding a fix. Our initial visits were exciting because of how much I learned about muscle structure and the way my swing was being affected by my injuries. Over the next two months we worked on getting my muscles healthy enough to begin a strengthening program. My goal was to be ready to play 5 consecutive days during the first week of January. Not only did I play 5 days, but played without any flare ups or significant pain. I not only had hopes of turning this around, but now had results. We are continuing to strengthen and rebuild my repetitive use injuries and look forward to competing in 2010 and to enjoying life with less pain. No longer do I need to live with the pain---there is a way to deal with it. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. “Tuch” as a soft tissue rehab specialist.

After initially injuring my rotator cuff playing tennis 20 years ago, I am happy to say that Dr. Tuchscherer has been the first person out of many to finally fix my shoulder. I have been to physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists and medical doctors and none of thme were able to help my shoulder. After my treatments with Dr. Tuchscherer, I have been able to play tennis everyday with no more pain or discomfort.

Halfway into my training for my first marathon, my IT band flared up horribly. I couldn't evne run 2 blocks without so much pain that I had to stop. I tried doing some stretching and exercises I found on the internet at home, but nothing was working. I thought my running days were over, not to mention my dream of finishing my marathon. Three weeks later a friend told me about A.R.T.  I thought it sounded far-fetched, but I was so desperate at that point that I thought I'd try it. After just one session with Dr. Tuchscherer, I was able to run 4 miles without pain. It seemed almost unbelievable to me. Over the next few weeks, we got my running back to the mileages I was at before. I went on to not only finish my first marathon, but to qualify for the Boston marathon as well, a lifelong goal of mine! Thank you Dr. Tuchscherer!

"As a writer of active travel guides who depends on the well-being of her body to write for her business, I was at my wits end trying to cure my plantar fascitis. It was ten months, two doctors, three physical therapists, and countless pills of Aleve, days off the road, and hours of desperation before I learned about Dr. Ryan Tuchscherer and the work he was doing with ART. The philosophy behind treating the whole body to conquer my specific injury made sense, and I was feeling the positive effects of the work after just a couple of sessions. A few weeks of therapy later, I was back in my running shoes and out on the road putting in the miles that I was able to before my injury. Thanks to Dr. Ryan and the Cherry Creek Spine and Sport Clinic, I now feel fully ready to run the world! Which is good, because that is what I do."  Taylor  Chase, Executive Editor, "Running The World"

I would strongly recommend Dr. Tuchscherer and A.R.T. to any athlete who has been having shoulder pain and not been able to get rid of it. I was having extreme pain and discomfort in my shoulder for 6 months and had to stop training. After 8 treatments I was back to lifting and swimming as much as I wanted with no pain or discomfort.

I had pain in my hip and knee for the last 6 months and couldn't run more than 2 miles before having to stop due to pain.  I had seen countless doctors for it to no avail and had to stop training.  After being treated by Dr. Tuchscherer six times I was able to run 16 miles again without pain.  Thank you so much!

After 3 pulled calf muscle injuries over the years from playing tennis, each requiring rehab or 3 or more months, I went to Dr. Tuchscherer and benefited greatly from Active Release Technique. The muscles and tendons are more flexible and stronger. I am able to play tennis again without the pain.   Jim H.

ART has been developed, refined, and patented by P. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP. Dr. Leahy noticed that his patients' symptoms seemed to be related to changes in their soft tissue that could be felt by hand. By observing how muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves responded to different types of work, Dr. Leahy was able to consistently resolve over 90% of his patients' problems. He now teaches and certifies health care providers all over the world to use ART. See the ART page for more details.
